What is Touhou?

The Touhou Project is a series of 2D (with 3D background) vertically-scrolling danmaku shooting games made by Team Shanghai Alice, with two fighting game spinoffs co-produced with Tasogare Frontier. They are similar to regular shooting games, but focus more on weaving through complex patterns containing anywhere from dozens to hundreds of bullets. Every game in the Touhou series is set in the fantasy land of Gensokyo, and the series is known for its huge cast of characters, well-developed storylines, and related materials such as music CDs and fan-made comics.

Would anyone who has RP logs please send them my way? A note to the club or any of my accounts will do. Don't worry about OoC, I can edit that out. Please include a date, if you don't have the exact date something approximate will do. If you really have no idea don't hesitate to send it anyway. The reason for this is to put them up in a Mediafire sharefolder and post on the Current RP Status journal for all members to see, so if it's something you would prefer to keep private for any reason... yeah.

How to Join/Apply for a Character

1. Choose any character that's available.

2. Send a note to this account titled, "CHARACTERNAMEHERE Application", with this form filled out:


_{a) Name of the Character of your choice.
b) How often will you be able to sign on? (Honesty please.)
c) Why do you want to roleplay as this character and how do you see them? Just write what their personality is like, according to you.
d)Write a small rp sample (paragraph of 4-5 lines AT LEAST) featuring your character of choice. Any topic is fine, and the rp style is up to you, but keep in mind that it has to convey how you imagine the character's personality. If you need some tips for that part, just ask away.
e) Do you agree with the rules? If not, which you don't and why.
f) Questions? Concerns? Let me know here.}


3. WAIT UNTIL YOUR APPLICATION IS ACCEPTED. Then create your account. If you would like an icon for your account, let me know.

4. When your account is created, don't forget about your introduction journal. Watch the other members of the roleplay. Also, let me know via note or frontpage comment or a note that your account exists.

RULES:

Please try not to be too OoC when roleplaying, so it doesn't differ from how you portrayed the character in your application.
_{You should try to stay in character to give them more realistic aura. For example, Genji loving on Yuka whilst singing Caramell Dansen is just. No.
Crack is fine and all, but just know the limits to it, people.}

Regarding pairings, crack is perfectly fine, but keep it reasonable.
_{We had enough weird pairings popping out already, so really, if you want to get them married, I expect to see some real development. Oh, and yes, from now on, to marry - you have to get permission of one of the admins, sorry people. And no, it will be decided objectively, basing on development you put into the relationship, not basing on liking/disliking a pairing, so no worries please.}

Try your best to be active!
_{If you have not even so much as logged in in two weeks, you get a warning. You have a week to respond, and if you don't, that makes you automatically land on the list of "Removed due to inactivity".}

Character switching (as in giving up one character to take up a different one) is allowed, however, you can't switch more than TWICE.

If you reserve a character, you have five days to complete your application. Once five days pass, it will be taken off reservation.

If anything is bugging you, please feel free to note TouhouRP-DA or one of the admins. We'll try out best to help and sort things out.


CHATROOM RULES:

This is simply an extension of the roleplay, all the same rules apply.

Try to keep the sex at a minimum. If someone gets uncomfortable, stop and move to msn/skype etc.

NO SPAMMING. This includes mainly mentioning "The Game", links, icons, thumbnails and all those other goodnesses that you love so much. If no rp is going on, it's tolerable, but remember to keep it at minimum.

OOC talk is allowed in the chatroom, but try to restrain from it when an rp starts. You have messengers and notes for that, and if someone finds that the OOC during a roleplay is distracting, IT IS TO BE REPORTED TO AN ADMIN/CO-ADMIN. You get two warnings, third time is a temporary ban!

Do not abuse the privilege of demoting people to demote other members. If another member is abusing the rules, report it to an admin or a co-admin. A member to break this rule will receive a temporary ban.

Changing topic to make it relevant to what is going on in the chat is fine. But no topic wars/topic 'vandalising', people. I know it's fine to go joke from time to time, but as with everything - know the limit. If topic wars start occurring again, there will be kicks as warnings. If you do not heed the warning, the privilege of changing topics will be taken away from members.
